Including Munch & Move Program Goals in Your QIP
Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) or self-assessment plans provide an avenue for your service to assess its performance in delivering high quality education and care to children, which includes setting goals for continued improvement.
The Munch & Move Program recommends that services set goals in their QIP or self-assessment plans relating to healthy eating and physical activity. In line with the broader QIP or self-assessment plans, goals relating to healthy eating and physical activity should be reviewed annually.
The Good for Kids Team encourages services to incorporate Aboriginal perspectives into the Munch & Move Program. To ensure that Aboriginal perspectives are authentic and meaningful, services should work with key Aboriginal partners to co-design their learning program, including the healthy eating and physical activities. Partners may include Aboriginal children and families, community members and organisations. Aboriginal co-designed learning programs benefit both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children.
We have a range of resources that can support your service to include healthy eating and physical activity goals in your QIP or self-assessment plan. See below for more details.
