Munch & Move

What is the Munch & Move program?
Munch & Move is a NSW Health initiative that supports the healthy development of children from birth to five years by promoting physical activity, healthy eating, and reduced screen time. The program helps Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services embed health promoting, evidence-based policies and practices into their everyday routines, creating a strong foundation for lifelong health and wellbeing.
What’s involved in the Munch and Move program?
Munch & Move focuses on key areas including healthy eating, breastfeeding, physical activity, and limiting small screen use.
You can explore the 16 key practices that form the foundation of the Munch & Move program here. The practices have been designed in alignment with the ACEQUA National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework and can be easily integrated into existing routines and procedures.
The Good for Kids team is here to support services across the Hunter New England region with expert guidance, professional training, and access to tailored resources to help you successfully implement Munch & Move.
